Barrie and District Ringette Association - Refund Policy


This policy pertains solely to Barrie and District Ringette Association (BDRA) Annual Player Registration fees. Individual Team fees are at the sole discretion of the Bench Staff associated with the BDRA player.

A written and dated request for a Registration Fee Credit must be submitted to the BDRA Executive via the Registrar.

If a player withdraws during or after evaluations/tryouts, but before regular season activities begin (approx. Oct 1st), the BDRA will provide a full Registration Fee credit less an Administration Fee of $100.00.

If a player withdraws after November 15th, no registration credit will be issued.

Registration Fee credits for players withdrawing for sports related medical reasons will be dealt with as follows:

If the player sustained the medical injury during play as result of their participation on a BDRA team, and as a result is unable to continue play for the remainder of the season, the BDRA will provide a Registration Fee credit of the Annual Player Registration Fee for the year of play. The credit will be applied to the following year of play, according to the chart below.

Injury sustained prior to November 15th of playing season. 50% of Registration Fee credited, less the Administration fee.
Injury sustained prior to December 31st of playing season. 25% of Registration Fee credited, less the Administration fee.
Injury sustained after December 31st of playing season. No Registration Fee credit.


If the player sustained the medical injury outside of their participation on an BDRA team, the BDRA will provide a Registration Fee credit on a case by case basis. Please provide a written request to the BDRA Executive Committee for consideration.
