Leduc Minor Hockey Association - Refund Policy

REFUND POLICY

a) Refunds from the registration date and prior to the time that the player has participated in any on ice activity shall be 100% of the registration fee paid.

b) Refunds from the registration date and prior to the time that the player has been registered on a team in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR), but has begun participation or tryouts will be 100% less a $50.00 administration fee. This fee may be waived for first time participants in Hockey.

c) Refunds after a player has begun participating or been carded on a team will have a minimum of $100.00 deducted for the LMHA Administration Fee, Registration Fees and the Hockey Alberta Carding Fee. In addition, a prorated refund amount will be calculated on the remainder based on participation. Participation will be based on the period of time from October to March for a total of 6 months. Participation will be calculated based on how many months or partial months (rounded to the next full month) were participated. (i.e. Player quits on November 10th the player would be deemed to have participated in 2 months of the 6 month season).

d) Players suspended or expelled for disciplinary reasons shall be ineligible for a refund of fees.

e) President and Administrator, in joint, are charged with the responsibility of using reasonable discretion with respect to portioned months, and have the authority to determine the final portioned refund amount.

f) For players withdrawing as a result of personal injury, the minimum $100.00 administration fee will be charged. (All prorating and carding fees, based on participation, will still apply)

g) For players withdrawing as a result of a residential move outside of LMHA’s boundaries, the $100 service fee will be charged. Proof of new residence will be required along with written application to withdrawal. (All prorating and carding fees, based on participation, will still apply) Prorating will be determined by the date that the written application to withdrawal is received by the Registrar.

h) Late Fees are non-refundable.

i) No refunds will be allowed after December 15 of the current playing season.

j) The Hockey Alberta Carding fee, once a player has been registered with a team in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR), is not refundable to Leduc Minor Hockey association.
