An intermediate level Web Designer with an in-depth understanding of the entire web and mobile application development process (design, development and deployment) and experience in UX and UI improvement or in-depth knowledge of modern design standards is required for a permanent position based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Working in a fast paced environment, you will be responsible for focusing on the client-side portion of our web site CMS and collaborating with our Business, Technology and Marketing teams. Utilizing your design skills with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 and JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries; you will develop effective user interfaces on the company websites and applications. Your duties will include, but are not limited to preparing and loading content and web design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adjust and extend mobile-based features
Complete assigned web based tasks
Collaborate with back-end developers and designers to improve usability
Gathers and translates business requirements into workable solutions
Write functional training documents and guides
Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Troubleshoots and solves bugs in all mainstream browsers and mobile devices
Requirements
Diploma/Certificate specialized as a Web Designer
Hands on experience with markup languages
Experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
Understanding of layout aesthetics
Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems
